Choose local photos
Original photos, album order, and edit state stay on your phone.
Phone to watch
WristAlbum safely publishes your selected crops and lets your Garmin watch download the current album. Originals and editing state remain on your phone.

The crop frame follows the connected watch screen size and shape so previews stay close to the final display.
Only compressed watch-sized images are uploaded, with limits on file size, format, and album count.
Your phone sends the current album download list to the Garmin watch, which downloads and caches the images.
Local-first
WristAlbum keeps cloud state intentionally thin: publish records, quota counters, cropped images, and the watch sync list. Original photos, album selections, order, and edits remain in the mobile app.
This avoids requiring an account at launch and keeps the security boundary focused on the local install identity, album access credentials, upload limits, and image-size checks.
Implementation model
The current version does not require creating an account. Sync requests are protected by the local app install identity.
The cloud stores only published watch-sized images and the current sync list needed by your phone and watch.
The watch downloads prepared images to reduce storage and display issues during sync.
